The NBA Draft lottery brought more drama than usual on May 12. For the first time in a long time, the Detroit Pistons weren’t involved in the lottery draft.

With one pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, the Detroit Pistons have three prospects they could target to improve the depth of their frontcourt.

But the landscape beyond the top five is far from settled in this class as the 2025 NBA Draft Combine kicks off this week in Chicago (May 11-18),

The young defenseman figures to be the first player off the board in this year's draft. A defensive prospect hasn't gone first in the NHL Draft since 2021, when the Buffalo Sabres took Owen Power. The center/left winger from the Saginaw Spirit could be the first offensive player off the board in June.
