Two days after landing the signature of former Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold, Hayes Fawcett of On3 reports that Auburn has grabbed the commitment of another experienced quarterback in Ashton Daniels, formerly of Stanford.

Auburn must replace starter Payton Thorne, and two backups have entered the transfer portal. Daniels passed for 3,986 yards, 21 touchdowns and 20 interceptions in three seasons at Stanford. He also ran for 1,117 yards and nine touchdowns.

Former Stanford signal caller Ashton Daniels committed to the Tigers on Monday, announcing his commitment in a post on Instagram with On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He becomes the second transfer quarterback to help fill the hole left in Auburn’s thin quarterback room, joining Oklahoma transfer Jackson Arnold.

However, a report from On3’s Steve Wiltfong indicates that Hugh Freeze and a former Stanford quarterback are showing mutual interest.
