Snow showers moved into the area Thursday night, and a second wave of snow is forecast for Friday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Another quick round of snow will be possible early Friday, possibly impacting the Friday morning commute. Most of the snow showers will taper off by midday, but then lake effect snow will likely develop, impacting locations along the lake from Chicago southward, and then into NW Indiana.
