The Dallas Wings are one step closer to setting their official roster for the 2025 WNBA season. The team made two moves over the weekend, waiving guard Mai Yamamoto and guard/forward Madison Scott. The Wings announced the moves Sunday afternoon.

The Dallas Wings are heading into a new WNBA season with high hopes after acquiring Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Bueckers is making the move to Dallas after playing four seasons with the UConn Huskies.

The No. 1 pick of the 2025 WNBA draft scored 15 points as the Wings claimed an 119-52 win over the Toyota Antelopes of the Women's Japan Basketball League. The crowd gave Bueckers a loud cheer as she took the court at College Park Center for her first WNBA action at home. Bueckers was visible early in the game as both a playmaker and scorer.
