Kansas State football has not had much luck with alternate uniforms under coach Chris Klieman. They Wildcats give it another try in the Rate Bowl.

Athan Kaliakmanis led the Scarlet Knights with 2,459 passing yards this season. Kyle Monangai rushed for 1,279 yards and 13 touchdowns out of the backfield. Linebacker Dariel Djabome led the defense with 102 tackles. Rutgers won its only meeting against Kansas State 37-10 at the 2006 Texas Bowl.

After a month of rest, Rutgers is getting back on the football field. The Scarlet Knights (7-5, 4-5) face Kansas State (8-4, 4-5) in the Rate Bowl on Thursday, December 26, at Chase Field in Phoenix,

Kansas State will have a new group of starters when it returns to the football field against Rutgers at the Rate Bowl later this month in Phoenix. Chris Klieman has made several notable changes to the K-State depth chart since the Wildcats finished the regular season at 8-4.

Rutgers running back Kyle Monangai is still trying to decide if he will compete in what will likely be his last collegiate game.
