Snow is piling up across Minnesota as the biggest storm of the winter season so far drags across the state.A winter storm warning is in effect for a swath of the state stretching from the North Dakota border near Fargo down to Rochester in southern Minnesota.

Parts of Minnesota received more than a half-foot of snow from Thursday’s winter storm. For much of the state, it was the largest snowfall of the winter so far.

The dreaded dry slot could sneak as far north as the Twin Cities and limit snowfall. But will it actually get that far north? We'll find
