A Penn State recruiting target has committed to a different College Football Playoff-caliber program — thanks in part to a former Nittany Lion coach. Kaden Gebhardt, a 2026 four-star safety from Olentangy (Ohio), committed to Clemson over Penn State, Ohio State and others on Tuesday afternoon.

The Penn State football team modified its winter program after the College Football Playoff. Nittany Lions strength coach Chuck Losey highlighted some of the standouts.
