SOC, a Dallas ISD team going for its third state championship in four years, had a chance to tie but missed a 45-yard field goal as time expired.

Dallas South Oak Cliff was making its fourth consecutive trip to the Class 5A Division II state title game, but for the second year in a row the Golden Bears were denied the championship.

Keilan Sweeny accounted for two touchdowns and Landen Williams-Callis rushed for 101 yards and scored once to lead Richmond Randle over Dallas South Oak Cliff 38-35 in the Texas 5A Division 2 state championship game at AT&T Stadium.
