A 29-year-old man was killed in a Russian attack on the village of Tavriiyske in southern Ukraine on Feb. 10, according to the regional governor. Russian forces struck the area with glide bombs, causing widespread destruction to private homes and non-residential buildings.

With its focus on war with its neighbor, Russia has taken its eyes off the ball elsewhere. As a result, its position is much weaker – but Putin remains dangerous.

Ukraine's strikes on military targets within Russia are disrupting Russian logistics, weakening its ability to conduct further attacks, and forcing Moscow to allocate more resources to its own defense.
