The staff of the Daily Trojan, the student-run newspaper for the University of Southern California, will no longer be paid and will have the printing schedule reduced next year, according to a letter from the publication’s editors.

A construction boom is underway at college campuses throughout Southern California, adding enough new dorm space to house at least 12,000 undergraduates and put a dent in the region’s student housing shortage.
