A new revised spending bill to avoid government shutdown has been introduced to the House. It doesn't address the Commanders or RFK Stadium.

A provision to transfer the land that is the site of the old RFK Stadium from the federal government to the District of Columbia is no longer included in Congress’ short-term spending bill that lawmakers are racing to pass before a government shutdown.

As part of Congress’ work to prevent a government shutdown, U.S. House Republicans introduced a new spending bill Thursday that, if passed, would avoid it. The American Relief Act 2025 also strips the provision that would allow the District of Columbia to take control of the former RFK Stadium site,
