When I think of Bad Monkey, I immediately think of Florida. Honestly, the Florida Keys are a character in the quirky whodunnit that’s based on Carl Hiaasen’s novels. So, I’m thrilled that we’ll get to spend another season with Vince Vaughn’s Yancy solving crimes in this wild place.

Bad Monkey” has been renewed for Season 2 at Apple TV+, Variety has learned. The series originally debuted on Apple’s streaming service back in August with the season finale airing in October. The first season was based on the novel of the same name by Carl Hiaasen.

Apple TV+ has given a Season 2 renewal to breakout comedy Bad Monkey, from developer, executive producer and showrunner Bill Lawrence, star/executive producer Vince Vaughn and Warner Bros. Television where Lawrence is based.

Popular Apple TV+ dark comedy series Bad Monkey, starring Vince Vaughn, will return for a second season. While the first season was based on the novel by the same name written by Carl Hiaasen, the second season will not use the second book in the series, Razor Girl, as source material.
