Based on Simon Stålenhag's 2018 graphic novel, the film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, (during their Avengers off-time ). The brothers bought the rights to the book before it was even published in 2017, and the script was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Here's the film's official logline:
