Lyft is suing the city of San Francisco, claiming the city unfairly charged the rideshare company over $100 million in taxes.

Lyft sued San Francisco on Dec. 20, alleging that the city owes the company about $100 million in tax refund payments from 2019 through 2023.

In a lawsuit, Lyft accused San Francisco of improperly calculating the company's taxes by including driver compensation in its revenue.

Lyft has accused San Francisco of overcharging $100 million in taxes between 2019 and 2023, claiming the city miscalculated its gross receipts by including driver compensation as part of the company’s revenue.
