RENO, Nev. (AP) — Nique Clifford had 16 points and his free throws with four seconds left sealed Colorado State’s 66-64 win over Nevada in the Mountain West Conference opener on Saturday night.

Calling it the start to a new season is a cliché, but it is apt in this case for the Colorado State men’s basketball team. Forget an up-and-down November and early December. The new season began Saturday and the Rams are off to a flying start.
