Familar script plays out for San Jose Sharks in loss to Colorado
Just 12 seconds after a tripping penalty on Avalanche forward Valeri Nichushkin ended, Joel Kiviranta scored to give Colorado a 3-2 lead. Kiviranta then scored at the 15:58 mark to help put the game away and hand the Sharks their third straight loss and their sixth in seven games.
San Jose Sharks Recall Yaroslav Askarov
The San Jose Sharks announced they have recalled goaltender Yaroslav Askarov from their AHL affiliate San Jose Barracuda. Askarov was sent back to the AHL on Nov. 26 after playing his first two games for the Sharks where he posted a 1-0-1 record with a .927 SP and 1.96 GAA.
