More people have been detained following a terrifying crime at an Aurora apartment complex Tuesday morning, bringing the number of people under questioning to 19.

Nineteen suspected members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang were detained this week following a violent home invasion that left two Aurora residents hospitalized. The incident has sparked renewed outrage from City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky, who has long warned about rising migrant-related crime in the city.

Police detained at least a dozen undocumented immigrants in a home invasion and kidnapping investigation. This happened at the Edge at Lowry Apartments along Dallas Street. It's the same complex that gained national attention earlier this year when armed suspects were caught on camera threatening residents.

Sixteen of the 19 suspects detained by Aurora police on Tuesday have been confirmed to be suspected members of a criminal gang from Venezuela.
