The Tyler Johnson experiment is over before it ever really got off the ground. The Bruins announced on Thursday that the club had placed the veteran, two-time Stanley Cup winner on uncondiitional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract.

Tyler Johnson's time with the Boston Bruins is officially over, as he has cleared unconditional waivers. With this, his contract has been terminated, and he is an unrestricted free agent again. According to NHL insider Chris Johnston, Johnson wants to keep playing and will talk with NHL clubs after the holiday roster freeze is over.
