Ohio’s newest U.S. Senator was sworn in Tuesday afternoon. Jon Husted, who served six years as Ohio’s lieutenant governor, was chosen by Gov. Mike DeWine last week to replace JD Vance, who resigned the Senate seat to become vice president.

DeWine will hold a news conference at 1 p.m., but his office declined to provide further details about topic of discussion.
