Fans lined up outside of Independence Park more than two hours before Inter Miami's Concacaf Champions Cup round of 16 clash with Cavalier SC hoping to catch a glimpse of Lionel Messi during a 2-0 victory (4-0 on aggregate) for Miami to move on to the quarterfinals where they'll face Los Angeles FC.

Lionel Messi missed his second straight game for Inter Miami on Thursday, but he was present at Chase Stadium as the team took on Jamaican club Cavalier FC for their Concacaf Champions Cup group of 16 match.

Mascherano confirmed ahead of the Concacaf Champions Cup round of 16 that Messi was training with the team and wasn't injured. Though, there's the possibility he doesn't play in the first leg given given there's a clash with Charlotte FC this weekend. Or, he only plays 45 minutes or so either as a starter or substitute.
