New Windows 11 24H2 bug silences some PCs, and Microsoft has blocked the update for affected devices while it works on a fix.

As we head towards the end of the year, the Windows 11 24H2 update from October is still causing trouble for users. Microsoft has confirmed two new problems, and according to Neowin, one of them breaks audio output and the other breaks Auto HDR.

Microsoft has added another Windows 11 24H2 upgrade block for systems with Dirac audio improvement software due to compatibility issues breaking sound output.

The bug isn't limited to gaming, though; some users have reported general color display issues on their Windows 11 desktops as well. Auto HDR is a feature introduced in Windows 11 to improve gaming visuals by automatically converting standard dynamic range (SDR) content to high dynamic range (HDR) content.
