The confusion surrounding the venue of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is finally over. After months of delay, the International Cricket Council finally officially declared the venues for the elite event.

The ICC has finally reached a breakthrough in the 2025 Champions Trophy impasse, with a hybrid model agreed upon that will see India's matches in the eight-team event taking place at a neutral venue.

The iconic trophy will next be heading to South Africa. The schedule for the tournament is expected to be revealed in the next few days.

While the Champions Trophy is set to be held between February 19 and March 9, the schedule had not been announced due to the impasse over this issue. The PCB had categorically opposed the hybrid model but eventually agreed to it on reciprocal grounds.

The ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 Trophy Tour, in partnership with DP World, is taking the iconic silverware to cricket fans around the world.

"The arrangement (hybrid-model) will apply to two major ICC events next year - the men's Champions Trophy in Pakistan and the women's ODI World Cup in India. It will also be in place for the men's T20 World Cup in 2026, which India will co-host alongside Sri Lanka, and the women's T20 World Cup in 2028 in Pakistan," the ICC said.

The ICC has decided on neutral venues for India-Pakistan matches in upcoming ICC tournaments, including the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan. The host board will choose the neutral venue, with the UAE and Sri Lanka being considered.

The hybrid model will also extend to next year’s women’s World Cup to be hosted in India and the men’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka
