The Ohio State Buckeyes have had a wealth of talent at the wide receiver position, and unfortunately, one could make the argument that they’ve had too much talent at times, making it difficult to get snaps to all the highly-touted prospects.

Jayden Ballard’s move to Wisconsin shakes up the Big Ten landscape as the wide receiver looks to make an impact in his final college football season.

Former Ohio State wide receiver Jayden Ballard is transferring to Wisconsin, where he will play for former Buckeye defensive lineman and assistant coach Luke Fickell.

Not long ago, the Ohio State Buckeyes learned that wide receiver Jayden Ballard would be transferring away from the program. It did not take long for him to find a new home.

He is the tenth player to commit to the program, joining Tulane defensive lineman Parker Petersen, Ball State tight end Tanner Koziol, Maryland quarterback Billy Edwards Jr., and Richmond defender Matthew Traynor. Prior to Ballard’s commitment, the program’s class ranked seventh in 247Sports’ team transfer portal class rankings.

Wisconsin is set to host Ohio State transfer wide receiver Jayden Ballard on an official visit, according to a report from 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz. The Badgers recently landed their first two transfer commitments in the cycle, the latest from top tight end Tanner Koziol. Ballard joins the program’s growing list of visits and significant interests.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have had two quarterbacks enter the NCAA transfer portal ahead of their College Football Playoff matchup tonight against the Tennessee Volunteers. One of them is Air Noland, who many thought could end up being a stater for Ohio State in the near future.

Wisconsin landed a commitment from former Ohio State transfer wide receiver Jayden Ballard on Wednesday. Ballard is Wisconsin’s first transfer wide receiver addition of the cycle and its 10th overall transfer commitment. He joins the program with one year of eligibility remaining.
