Rohan Mirchandani, co-founder of India’s leading Greek yoghurt brand Epigamia, died on Saturday at the age of 42 due to a sudden cardiac arrest. Led by him, Epigamia grew to over 20,000 retail touchpoints across 30 cities.

The unexpected demise of Rohan Mirchandani, co-founder and CEO of Epigamia, has sent shockwaves across India’s start-up ecosystem.

Epigamia's daily operations will now be managed by senior leaders Ankur Goel (COO and Founding Member) and Uday Thakker (Co-founder and Director), with full support from the Board of Directors.

Epigamia is a preservation-free, plant-based, and lactose-free food company providing a lot of healthy food items that are yogurts, smoothies, milkshakes, almond drinks, and cheese.

Rohan Mirchandani, the co-founder of Epigamia, died on December 21 after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 41. Mr Mirchandani, who co-founded Drums Food International in 2013, built Epigamia into India's leading Greek yoghurt brand.

Mirchandani’s untimely demise has left the start-up ecosystem in shock. Many of his peers, friends and admirers took to social media to pay tributes to the entrepreneur.
